Full Reroofs & Tear-Offs
Complete reroof from decking up — built to NY code
The steps

A full reroof is the most comprehensive roofing service we offer. When your existing roof has multiple layers, widespread damage, or aging components that need to come off entirely, Iron Shore strips everything down to the deck and rebuilds your roof from scratch. This is the gold standard — and it's how we do the majority of our work across Long Island.
We start by tearing off every layer of existing roofing material. Once we're down to bare decking, our crew walks every square foot looking for soft spots, rot, and water damage. Any compromised plywood gets replaced before we install a single component. From there, we build a complete roofing system: ice and water shield in critical areas, full synthetic underlayment, new aluminum drip edge, step and counter flashing at walls and chimneys, and architectural shingles installed to the manufacturer's nailing pattern.
Every full reroof meets or exceeds New York State building code requirements. We install proper ventilation — ridge vent and soffit intake — to prevent moisture buildup and extend the life of your new roof. The result is a roofing system that's built to perform for decades, not just pass inspection.
